Dr. Mossadeq: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Shah
"Dr. Mossadeq or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Shah" is a satirical look at what for many Iranians is the defining moment in U.S.-Iran relations, an event which is unknown to most Americans. Centering around the August 19, 1953 CIA engineered coup that brought down the government of Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadeq, the forthcoming documentary mixes original animation and music with historical footage to tell a story of espionage, conspiracy, and the failed struggle for democracy in Iran.
