Lahoot - 1998
Directed by Shahin Parhami
Lahoot is an Islamic mythological term for the world beyond the corporeal existence. In a stylized, formalist illustration of dreams, memories and realities, women walk through alleys to the sounds of mystical Sufi and folkloric chants and melodies. This film rewrites the myth in a new language of music, color and movement.
